Super Hot Today
Gardening season began some months ago (lots of gardening today) and it's a changing climate. We desperately needs rain and today the weather here is exceptionally hot:
"More people are likely to visit coastal areas," it says, "lakes and rivers leading to an increased risk of water safety incidents..."
We thought the same. The Manchester situation is grim and record temperatures can be found in these tables. To quote: "On 2 August, high temperatures began re-building across parts of England and Wales, marking the start of a fifth heatwave for the summer. The heat intensified on 3 August, with maximum temperatures forecast to reach up to 35 °C (95 °F) in South East England and London, whilst wider areas of central and southern England recorded temperatures in the upper-20s or low-30s °C (low- to high-80s °F)."
Why travel to the Mediterranean? █
