Latest Proton GE update improves controller support and more for Linux gamers and Steam Deck owners
GE-Proton11-4 has been released, bringing a large set of changes for Linux gaming, with controller support being the main focus of the new version. The release is described as the “Controller fixup” update, but it also includes improvements to Wine, graphics, audio, video playback, ARM64 support, and compatibility with several games.
It’s also worth knowing that GE-Proton11-5 was also released a few hours after 11-4, but it only includes a hotfix for broken anti-cheat loading.

Hours after launch, a same-day hotfix (GE-Proton 11-5) followed to address an Easy Anti-Cheat regression the update introduced.
