Shelly 3.0 ditches C# for Zig — Arch Linux’s package manager no longer loads .NET
Shelly, the most widely used graphical package manager on Arch Linux, no longer boots a managed runtime when you open it. Version 3.0 rebuilds the entire application in Zig — a systems programming language that compiles directly to native machine code — replacing the C# codebase that powered the tool since its first release.
