Computing Does Not Improve Anymore
All this "AI" hype is a sign of it
Computers 50 years ago ran OK with just 64 kilobytes of memory. Now it's considered "normal" to get a PC with 32 GB of memory (RAM), even 64 GB of RAM. How did we get to the point where we need a million times more memory to run a machine that does comparable tasks?
Perhaps computers aren't improving, except based on shallow numerical criteria. █
