The Free Software Foundation (FSF) turned 40 just 2 months ago. After all those years it persists with the same mission (albeit the nature of the challenge/threats changes) and despite the attacks on its credibility - especially ad hominem attacks on its founder - it's managing to raise money and add many members:

As a reminder, RMS (Richard Stallman) will give a public talk next month. He can auction of some plush toy (gnu). Hopefully not Microsoft money... █
