New Release: Tor Browser 15.0.4

This version includes important security updates to Firefox.

Arti 1.9.0 released: Proxy improvements, relay development, and more.

This release includes some behind-the-scenes work on relays and directory authority development, and adds improved support for running with dynamically assigned ports. For example, Arti now accepts proxy.socks_listen = "auto" to configure its SOCKS proxy with an operating-system-assigned port, and writes the assigned port to a structured JSON file in Arti's data directory.

A month and a half after the previous 10.7 release, PeaZip, a versatile cross-platform open-source file archiver utility, has just unveiled version 10.8, which now supports opening 242 file extensions.

One highlight is that users can now open items with associated applications, use custom apps, or rely on PeaZip’s own tools for checksums, metadata scans, and hex and text previews.

Additionally, internal UTF-8 configuration files no longer require a BOM header, and support for ARC files using TOC encryption has been refined to automatically refresh when a password is entered, while password-handling behaviors have been improved for sessions where credentials are not meant to be retained.

PeaZip 10.8 Open-Source Archive Manager Overhauls Previewing Inside Archives

Coming one and a half months after PeaZip 10.7, the PeaZip 10.8 release overhauls the previewing of items inside archives by adding the ability to launch the built-in image viewer within archive types supported through the ARC, BCM, Brotli, and Zstandard backends. Previously, this only worked for 7z/p7zip archives.
