Two paths to Enlightenment: AV Linux 25 and MX Moksha step forward
Quoting: AV Linux 25, MX Moksha land with Enlightenment desktops —
AV Linux and MX Moksha are a pair of distros tweaked for audio and music production, each using a different branch of the Enlightenment family of desktops.
The longstanding AV Linux distribution has a new release, AV Linux 25, along with a new sibling distro called MX Moksha 25. Both are based on MX Linux 25, which appeared in November and is in turn based on Debian 13 "Trixie."
Both editions are based on the latest upstream MX Linux, with the newer 6.15 kernel from the Liquorix project. But there's bad news for those who prefer to avoid Lennart Poettering's all-encompassing system management suite. As the version 23.5 announcement puts it, it uses...

AV Linux and MX Moksha 25 Released!
AV Linux (AVL) and MX Moksha (MXM) 25 have been released after a long and laborious development period. There are now two flavors of Enlightenment for the E-curious; AV Linux remains with Enlightenment 0.27.1 and new addition ‘MX Moksha’ comes with Moksha 0.4.1 from the popular Bodhi Linux project. AV Linux is slightly scaled back but is still presented as a full Content Creator production-ready system and MX Moksha contains the AVL utility infrastructure but a minimal basic complement of Applications so it can easily be molded into what the User wants. Both ISO’s are built on an MX Linux 25/Debian Trixie base with Liquorix kernels. Visually AVL appeals to the modern ‘Flat’ aesthetic with it’s new ‘Ease’ themes by MX Forum member ‘Melber’ while MXM delights in keeping the lush curvy skeuomorphic look of Bodhi Linux alive with it’s ‘Moksha Green’ theme. A great deal of work has gone into refining and enhancing the File Manager agnostic File Actions and extending the core functionality of the File Manager (Thunar) to do an unprecedented number of system tasks. Exciting new ‘Open With’ features include running Virtual Machines with ‘Quickemu’ and downloading Videos with YT-DLP all from Thunar! Rapid breaking changes in YT-DLP are now handled by an utility to update both yt-dlp and Deno from their respective websites. Because of the current boondoggle with Wine and the ‘yabridge’ Plugin bridge a special optional Wine4VST utility has been created to install a working Windows VST Plugin setup in both AVL and MXM.

Two New Distros Adopt Enlightenment » Linux Magazine
I remember using the Enlightenment desktop many years ago. It was beautiful, highly flexible, and fun. Since then, Enlightenment has been mostly relegated to the shadows by way of niche distributions including Bodhi Linux, which forked Enlightenment and named it Moksha.
Moksha is a concept in various Indian religions, particularly Hinduism; it means emancipation or liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. When the Bodhi developers decided to fork Enlightenment, the name seemed appropriate.
For years, Bodhi was one of the very few distributions that used anything based on Enlightenment. That period of loneliness is officially over, with MX Moksha and AV Linux 25.
