A small team of developers is building a pocket-sized, modular computer with a 4.1 inch, 1080 x 480 pixel touchscreen display, an an STM32MP157 dual-core Arm Cortex-A7 processor, and 4GB of DDR3 memory.
At a time when high-end smartphones have the kind of processing power you’d expect from a decent laptop, the the “Linux Platform Kit” may not be the most powerful device you can fit in your pocket. But with the ability to run Debian Linux with a custom user interface, and an open hardware design, it’s a versatile, customizable device: the developers designed it to be modular.
