The Future of GNU/Linux is GNU Coreutils
The command cat (Unix) had its initial release on November 3rd, 1971, i.e. almost 54 years ago. It's still being maintained and improved by GNU, which has its free version of it. There was a new release some days ago (GNU Coreutils 9.8).
Of course there are lousy copycats that don't quite work correctly.
GNU recently turned 42, as we last pointed out a few hours ago.
Some Rust People with Microsoft GitHub accounts won't replace GNU Coreutils by any means other than political manipulation and social engineering. They already meet a lot of resistance, as people realise they're full of it. █
