Coming almost a month after KDE Gear 25.08.2, the KDE Gear 25.08.3 release fixes a bug in the Dolphin file manager where the video preview panel crashed when a video file was selected in some cases, fixes broken room succession in the NeoChat chat app, and fixes the broken “Today” button in the Merkuro calendar app.

R1 Neo leverages GPS & compact rugged design for Meshtastic networks

The R1 Neo combines a Nordic nRF52840 microcontroller and a Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver for low-power mesh communication. The nRF52840 integrates a 64 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 CPU with a floating-point unit, 1 MB of Flash, and 256 KB of RAM, providing Bluetooth 5 connectivity and system control for the device.

NetworkManager 1.54 Brings Support for Configuring Per-Device IPv4 Forwarding

Coming five months after NetworkManager 1.52, the NetworkManager 1.54 release adds support for configuring per-device IPv4 forwarding via the ipv4.forwarding connection property, support OCI baremetal in nm-cloud-setup, support for configuring the loopback interface in NetworkManager’s text-based UI (nmtui).

Also new in NetworkManager 1.54 is a “prefix-delegation” setting containing a subnet-id property that specifies the subnet to choose on the downstream interface when using IPv6 prefix delegation, as well as a new ovs-dpdk.lsc-interrupt property to configure the Link State Change (LSC) detection mode for OVS DPDK interfaces.
