New Features of Deepin 23 Preview (UPDATEDx5)
Created and maintained by Chinese developers, deepin has long been considered one of the prettiest Linux-based operating systems. Understandably, due to its development happening in China, many people do not trust the distribution -- especially with biometrics being added. Not to mention the recent dustup over Taiwan and apparent ongoing genocide.
If you are someone that trusts deepin despite its country of origin, however, I have some really exciting news. Today, an official public preview of the upcoming deepin 23 becomes available for download. The developers highlight the inclusion of the new "Linglong" package format, atomic updates, and new repositories.
Deepin is the top Linux distribution from China, devoted to providing a beautiful, easy-to-use, safe, and reliable operating system for global users. (Global Ranking)
Deepin 23 Preview is a staged version of deepin 23, which includes three main features: brand-new repositories, atomic updates, and a self-developed package format. Please note that it cannot be upgraded from deepin 20 directly at present.

Deepin has long been considered one of the most aesthetically pleasing Linux distributions on the market. Released on August 15, the new preview includes three new features that are sure to excite users.
First off is the new Linglong package formate, developed by Deepin. The reason the developers have given life to this new format is to solve compatibility problems caused by the dependency issues brought about by traditional package formats. Linglong will be available to any Linux distribution and supports incremental updates and managing/distributing/sandboxing of apps.
