Linux becomes the obvious pick in such cases. It’s the perfect candidate to revive an old laptop or PC that is struggling or not supported by Windows. However, not all Linux distros are created equal; some focus on performance, some want to be a visual spectacle, and some try to strike a perfect balance. For me, MX Linux tops the list because it runs fantastically on my old laptop and a few other machines I tried. MX Linux is an easy pick because it’s versatile, can fit on any kind of old machine, bundles a whole set of useful tools, and tries to simplify the transition. Let’s discuss why you don’t need to look elsewhere if you want to revive your old machine. Every year, nearly 1 million people from across the globe pack their bags and trek thousands of kilometers to a small island off the west coast of Australia. Rottenest, in Dutch meaning “The Rat’s Nest”, is home to not a rodent, but a peculiar little marsupial: the quokka. These perpetually grinning little creatures have lived on this majestic slice of land for millennia and have recently become a bit of a sensation in the age of social media. The idea of traveling myriads of miles to take a selfie with a pudgy little macropod may sound silly, but that may be the point. Ubuntu, and all of open source software for that matter, may too seem silly on paper. People from all over the globe, from every walk of life, giving their most precious commodity to a cause that really has no defined end. Open source is ever changing and the quest to build the best free software is a never ending adventure and that’s what makes it so special. Fedora_Community_Blog:_Outreachy_Internship_Update: Building_the_Fedora_Release_Schedule_Planner_API⠀⇛ As part of my Outreachy_internship with the Fedora Project, I’m building an API to modernize how Fedora plans its release cycles. With the help of my mentor Tomáš_Hrčka, the goal is to replace the current XML-heavy system currently on pagure.io with something flexible, easy to use, and well-structured. * ⚓ Red Hat Official ☛ Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_Common_Criteria_and_FIPS certificates⠀⇛ As a global organization with employees and customers scattered around the world, Red Hat recognizes that there are a multitude of compliance mandates that different regions or industries need to adhere to. This post provides some important updates around recent certifications or validations that various releases of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) support have obtained.  * ⚓ Red Hat ☛ V2_fast_event_notifications:_A_major_advance_with_O-RAN compliance⠀⇛ In a telecommunications network environment, it's crucial to have access to low-latency synchronization events, such as those used in Precision Time Protocol (PTP). It is essential for applications requiring precise timing, such as financial transactions, telecommunications, and real-time data processing, where even small timing discrepancies can lead to significant errors. To facilitate this, Red Bait has re- architected the REST API to provide direct and efficient access to event notifications, while fully adhering to the latest O- RAN_standards. * ⚓ Red Hat ☛ A_roadmap_of_the_OpenShift_boot_images_update⠀⇛ Red Hat is updating boot images across all our platforms. We will perform the updates on a platform-by-platform basis. We aim to initially release it as an opt-in feature. Once all the kinks have been worked out for a particular platform, we will turn on boot image updates by default for that platform. A cluster administrator could still opt out of boot image updates. For user-managed clusters and those that do not use machine resources like MachineSets, we will provide documentation to perform boot image updates.  * ⚓ Red Hat ☛ Optimizing_generative_Hey_Hi_(AI)_models_with_quantization⠀⇛ Generative Hey Hi (AI) (gen AI) models are top of mind for many organizations and individuals looking to increase productivity, gain new insights, and build new kinds of interactive services. Many organizations have delegated running these models to third-party cloud services, seeking to get a head start by building on top of the capabilities they have on offer. Some organizations have regulatory pressure that makes that difficult, though, and many others are finding that the costs of those hosted generative Hey Hi (AI) models are not always in line with the value they get from them. * ⚓ Red Hat ☛ Introduction_to_supervised_fine-tuning_dataset_formats⠀⇛ Large language models (LLMs) are conventionally trained in two phases. In the first pre-training phase, the model sees gigantic corpuses of unlabeled text from the internet and is trained to predict only the next singular token. In the second post-training phase, the model sees data that resembles the behavior of a chatbot and learns to predict subsequent tokens that align with that behavior. Supervised fine-tuning (SFT) is the most common post-training technique used to improve the alignment of large language models after pre-training.  SFT uses datasets of formatted prompt response pairs, or simulated conversations to familiarize the model with chat/ assistant style interactions. You can format these datasets in many ways for various purposes, which we will explore in this article. ䷩ 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 462 ╒═══════════════════ 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 ═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ (ℹ) Images, hyperlinks and comments at https://tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/19/Firefox_143_Is_Now_Available_for_Public_Beta_Testing_Here_s_Wha.shtml Gemini version at gemini://gemini.tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/19/Firefox_143_Is_Now_Available_for_Public_Beta_Testing_Here_s_Wha.gmi ⠀⌧ █▇▆▅▄▃▂▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ Firefox 143 Is Now Available for Public Beta Testing, Here’s What to Expect⠀▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▂▃▄▅▆▇█ ⌧ posted by Marius Nestor on Aug 19, 2025 🄸🄼🄰🄶🄴_🄳🄴🅂🄲🅁🄸🄿🅃🄸🄾🄽_⦇Firefox_143_beta⦈_ Firefox 143 looks like a solid release for Android users as it adds support for xHE-AAC audio playback, support for viewing the download progress in real time with controls to pause, resume, retry, or cancel directly from the Downloads screen, and improved support for persistent notifications to properly open Firefox with the relevant web page. University of Toronto ☛ Some_notes_on_DMARC_policy_inheritance_and_a gotcha⠀⇛ When you use DMARC, you get to specify a policy that people should apply to email that claims to be from your domain but doesn't pass DMARC checks (people are under no obligation to pay attention to this and they may opt to be stricter). These policies are set in DNS TXT records, and in casual use we can say that the policies of subdomains in your domain can be 'inherited'. This recently confused me and now I have some answers. * ⚓ University of Toronto ☛ How_not_to_check_or_poll_URLs,_as_illustrated by_Fediverse_software⠀⇛ If you're going to repeatedly poll a URL, especially every five or ten minutes, and you want me to accept your software, you must do conditional GETs. I won't like you and may still arrange to give you HTTP 429s for polling so fast, but I most likely won't block you outright. Polling every five or ten minutes without conditional GET is completely unacceptable, at least to me (other people probably don't notice or care). * ⚓ It's FOSS ☛ Access_Root_Directory_in_Nautilus_File_Manager⠀⇛ Quick little tip that shows how you can access the files and folders under root from Nautilus file manager. * § idroot⠀➾ o ⚓ ID Root ☛ How_To_Enable_SSH_on_AlmaLinux_10⠀⇛ Secure Shell (SSH) stands as the cornerstone of remote GNU/Linux system administration, providing encrypted communication channels between clients and servers. Besides, it's time to live in the now, and the rules and needs of today are not the same as they were 10, 20, or 30 years ago. Modern Linux is powerful, flexible, stable, and secure. With the exception of some of the more lightweight Linux distributions, it's also far more resource-dependent (just like all modern operating systems). Consider this: The minimum system requirements for Ubuntu Desktop today include just 4GB of RAM. I've run Ubuntu on a virtual machine with only 3GB of RAM. Although those Ubuntu virtual machines are used only for testing purposes, the 3GB of RAM does pretty well. But I would never suggest you should get by with such a small amount. ䷩ 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 2137 ╒═══════════════════ 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 ═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ (ℹ) Images, hyperlinks and comments at https://tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/19/Valnet_Inc_on_UNIX_based_OSes_Like_SerenityOS_Clinging_Onto_Win.shtml Gemini version at gemini://gemini.tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/19/Valnet_Inc_on_UNIX_based_OSes_Like_SerenityOS_Clinging_Onto_Win.gmi ⠀⌧ █▇▆▅▄▃▂▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ Valnet Inc. on UNIX-based OSes Like SerenityOS, Clinging Onto Windows, Proxmox, and GNU/ Linux⠀▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▂▃▄▅▆▇█ ⌧ posted by Roy Schestowitz on Aug 19, 2025 🄸🄼🄰🄶🄴_🄳🄴🅂🄲🅁🄸🄿🅃🄸🄾🄽_⦇SerenityOS⦈_ * ⚓ XDA ☛ This_UNIX-based_operating_system_looks_like_it's_from_the_90s, but_it's_still_receiving_updates⠀⇛ First launched in 2018, the open-source SerenityOS offers its users a stripped-back GUI-based operating system that melds a 1990s desktop aesthetic with a focus on productivity for power users. It isn't Linux, but SerenityOS is a UNIX-like OS, built on a custom core and uses no licensed components. So, while it can run MP3s, other media and related codecs currently covered by licenses are not supported. * ⚓ Make Use Of ☛ Everyone_Says_Linux_Is_Better_Than_Windows,_but_I'm_Not Buying_It⠀⇛ I’ve lived in Windows land my whole life, and every so often, I catch myself wondering if I should finally try Linux. But then, without fail, I remember why I haven’t taken the plunge. * ⚓ XDA ☛ I'm_staying_on_Windows,_but_I'm_not_happy_about_it [Ed: Sadistic tendencies]⠀⇛ I've been experimenting with various Linux distros, and I've found Mint Linux and Zorin OS to be the most suitable for Windows-to-Linux converts. I’m also improving my skills as I continue my journey, much like I did with Windows. However, I haven’t made it my daily driver yet as I’m still working on tailoring it to my specific needs. I’ve used Mac enough to get around, and it’s pretty easy to figure out anything. The problem there is that I'd feel like I’m cheating on my wife. So, for now, I will keep limping along on Windows. * ⚓ XDA ☛ I_found_the_perfect_Proxmox_backup_system_that_is_both_safe_and simple⠀⇛ Backups are one of those things we all promise ourselves we’ll sort out later on, but that later never arrives. We set them up only when it’s too late — when an update messes things up, a dead drive breaks things down, or some random error keeps your system from booting. I have been there. I moved my secondary server to Proxmox to experiment with a bunch of things. That meant I ended up breaking something or the other almost every weekend, necessitating a solid backup strategy. If anything broke, I could quickly restore to the last saved point and get going without missing a beat. And for that, I needed a backup strategy that’s safe, cost-effective, and easy enough to run without becoming a chore. Turns out Proxmox already has everything you need to strike that balance. It did need a lot of tinkering, but I finally landed on a strategy that just works and stays on guard to save me from disasters. * ⚓ XDA ☛ This_one_simple_Proxmox_setting_can_improve_virtual_machine performance⠀⇛ Setting up Proxmox Linux containers (LXC) and virtual machines (VMs) is what makes this hypervisor an invaluable tool for home labs. It's powerful, light, and fast, but there are a few tweaks one can make to make it even better. One is to enable community updates, unless you have a subscription, of course. But another may not be too obvious, especially if you're just starting out with your first Proxmox deployment. I'm talking CPU passthrough to VMs and how selecting the right one ("host") can improve performance. * ⚓ XDA ☛ The_hidden_risks_of_using_Windows-lookalike_Linux_distros_on_your PC⠀⇛ As Microsoft ends support for Windows 10, many PC owners are searching for alternatives that don’t require buying a new machine. Linux often enters the conversation because it’s free, secure, and works well on older hardware. Among the options, some distros are designed to look and act like Windows to make the switch feel seamless. While this might sound appealing, it’s not necessarily the best path for newcomers. The short-term comfort of a familiar interface can hide deeper issues that surface only after you’ve started using the system regularly. These problems often lead to frustration, wasted time, and, in some cases, abandoning Linux entirely. * ⚓ XDA ☛ I_swapped_my_resource-hungry_apps_for_terminal_alternatives,_and it_changed_everything⠀⇛ I’ve been using Neovim as my main text editor for a couple of years now, starting back in my freshman year of university, and it’s easily one of my favorite apps of all time. If you are a computer science student or someone who codes a lot, it is worth checking out. For those unfamiliar, Neovim is essentially a modern fork of Vim, a minimal text editor that comes pre- installed on most UNIX-based systems, but with plenty of improvements and extra functionality. The biggest shift from most editors is how it changes the way you interact with text. Instead of clicking around to place your cursor, Neovim keeps you on the keyboard at all times, with every action performed through keybinds. You are not expected to take your hands off the keyboard, which I actually prefer. If you enjoy customizing your setup, you can also apply a wide range of themes and tweak the interface to look exactly how you want. ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠿⣾⣤⣤⣁⣀⢀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠠⢀⣙⠏⣀⣾⢮⣟⣿⣲⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠠⢼⢿⣿⣯⣿⣿⣮⣭⣤⠆⣀⣀⡐⠂⠀⠀⠒⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⠀⠀⣘⡓⢾⢧⢽⣿⣿⡾⠾⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠋⠉⠉⠉⠉⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠉⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠺⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣶⣿⣯⣿⣖⣴⣶⣚⠓⢶⡦⠄⠈⡙⠟⢶⣿⣿⣻⣿⣾⣿⣿⣽⣟⣛⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠁⠙⣾⢛⣻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣶⣦⣾⣿⡛⡒⢶⣤⣭⣯⣟⣻⢟⡾⢽⣿⣿⣳⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠻⠿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠑⠒⠺⢯⣽⣿⠿⣯⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣯⣭⣿⣶⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣤⣤⣴⣶⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠟⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠉⠉⠉⠉⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡟⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠉⠉⠉⠉⠙⢽⣿⠿⢊⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⠀⢀⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡿⠟⠛⣟⢿⢿⣿⡿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⣽⣿⣟⣛⣿⣿⣷⡗ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⠓⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣴⣶⣀⣄⣠⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣿⣿⣿⣅⣤⡏⢉⣷⣿⣭⣇⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⡗⠧⢤⠭⠭⠩⠍⠉⠉⠉⠉⠟⠟⠛⠓⠒⠒⠂⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣧⣤⣴⣶⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡇⢰⣦⣔⣴⣖⣽⣋⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡇⠼⢿⣻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⠶⢶⢶⣶⣶⣦⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⡏⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣾⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⡛⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣶⣶⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣷⡷⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠁⠻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣶ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⠿⢽⣛⡯⠽⢿⣿⡿⡇⢀⣼⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣭⣿⣿⣿⣿⡗⢋⣩⠤⠒⠋⣉⡤⠞⢧⣬⣌⣛⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠂⠶⡦⠟⣿⣿⡏⠁⣀⠤⠒⠉⠀⣠⡴⠚⠁⣠⣬⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣭⣛⡷⠱⡪⣽⡅⠉⠀⠀⣠⠴⠊⠁⠀⠐⣢⡾⠙⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣭⣛⠟⠃⠂⠪⡇⠀⠔⠊⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⠿⠅⠐⠂⠈⢭⣿⣛⣻⣯⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⣟⣻⣿⣿⣿⣛⣻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣛⠂⠀⢸⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⡰⠚⠀⠀⠀⡀⠀⢠⠿⠉⣒⣒⠾⠭⢽⣿⣒⡻⠭⠭⢒⣻⣿⠭⠥⣖⣚⣻⣿⣷⢞⣿⣿⡿⣿⣿⣿⣯⡿⠿⣿⣿⣿⡿⢿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠋⣿⣿⡿⣿⣭⢿⣿⡿⣿⣿⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢰⣉⡉⠁⠀⠐⠂⠀⠀⠀⠐⠊⠀⠀⠀⠂⠀⠀⣼⡋⠐⠒⠠⠬⢍⣉⣿⡗⠠⠭⢍⣉⣒⠺⣿⠭⢭⣑⣒⠪⠭⢿⣟⣓⡺⠯⠭⢽⣿⣿⣿⠭⠭⣿⣿⣿⣭⡭⢿⣟⣛⡿⢽⣾⣖⣋⡩⠿⠿⣽⣉⣈⠹ ䷩ 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 2304 ╒═══════════════════ 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 ═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ (ℹ) Images, hyperlinks and comments at https://tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/19/Windows_Update_Is_Killing_SSDs_Should_You_Switch_to_Linux.shtml Gemini version at gemini://gemini.tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/19/Windows_Update_Is_Killing_SSDs_Should_You_Switch_to_Linux.gmi ⠀⌧ █▇▆▅▄▃▂▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ Windows Update Is Killing SSDs!
