It simplifies DNS queries by presenting the results in a structured and easily understandable format. It’s designed for for network administrators, developers, and anyone who needs to troubleshoot DNS issues or explore domain configurations. This is free and open source software. * ⚓ mypy_-_static_type_checker_for_Python_-_LinuxLinks⠀⇛ Python is a dynamic language, so usually you’ll only see errors in your code when you attempt to run it. Mypy is a static checker, so it finds bugs in your programs without even running them. Mypy is designed with gradual typing in mind. This means you can add type hints to your code base slowly and that you can always fall back to dynamic typing when static typing is not convenient. Mypy has a powerful and easy-to-use type system, supporting features such as type inference, generics, callable types, tuple types, union types, structural subtyping and more. Using mypy will make your programs easier to understand, debug, and maintain. This is free and open source software. * ⚓ sshp_-_parallel_SSH_executor_-_LinuxLinks⠀⇛ sshp manages multiple ssh processes and handles coalescing the output to the terminal. By default, sshp will read a file of newline-separated hostnames or IPs and fork ssh subprocesses for them, redirecting the stdout and stderr streams of the child line-by- line to stdout of sshp itself. This is free and open source software. * ⚓ Recipya_-_simple_and_powerful_recipe_manager_-_LinuxLinks⠀⇛ Recipya is a clean, simple and powerful recipe manager web application for unforgettable family recipes, empowering you to curate and share your favorite recipes. The aim of this is both to help people make a project that is nice and usable, but also to improve the quality of Python third-party software, making it easier and more enjoyable to use the vast array of available modules for Python. It’s written so that there are a library with methods to call from Python, as well as a script, also called pyroma. ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠛⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⠉⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡶⡶⢿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡆⣉⣨⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⡿⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠃⠈⠉⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠛⠻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⢀⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⢤⣀⠄⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣣⣧⣿⠇⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠠⠄⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⢀⡀⠀⠀⠂⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡀⢀⣀⣀⡀⡀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠉⠉⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠁⠀⠠⠀⠎⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣗⣤⠄⣴⠤⣤⡄⢹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⣰⣿⣿⣷⣄⠀⠈⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⠀⠀⣀⠠⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡠⡈⢸⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠠⣿⡿⠛⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠢⠰⠤⠀⡀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠁⣠⣄⠈⠉⠀⠸⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⡄⠃⠀⠀⠠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠠⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⢿⡿⠇⠀⠀⢸⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⣀⡠⡂⠀⠀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣀⣀⣀⡀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣿⣿⣦⣤⣤⠀⢠⠀⢸⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⣶⠇⠀⠹⣿⣿⣿⣿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⣿⣿⣿⣿⢶⣽⣵⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⣼⠀⢸⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣲⣿⣖⠀⣠⠈⡉⠉⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠛⠛⡿⠿⠃⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠟⠀⠿⠀⠸⠿⠇⠸⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣯⣬⣽⣯⣭⣵⣴⣿⣤⣿⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣶⣖⣒⣲⣖⣒⣲⣶⣶⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ䷩ 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 376 ╒═══════════════════ 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 ═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ (ℹ) Images, hyperlinks and comments at https://tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/03/Free_and_Open_Source_Software.shtml Gemini version at gemini://gemini.tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/03/Free_and_Open_Source_Software.gmi ⠀⌧ █▇▆▅▄▃▂▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ Free and Open Source Software⠀▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▂▃▄▅▆▇█ ⌧ posted by Rianne Schestowitz on Aug 03, 2025 🄸🄼🄰🄶🄴_🄳🄴🅂🄲🅁🄸🄿🅃🄸🄾🄽_⦇software_application_icon⦈_ * ⚓ Specifically_Clementines_-_grocery_list_app_-_LinuxLinks⠀⇛ Specifically Clementines is a self-hosted grocery list app. This is free and open source software. * ⚓ Table_Habit_-_establish_and_track_your_own_micro_habit_-_LinuxLinks⠀⇛ Table Habit is an app that helps you establish and track your own micro habit. One thing I've realized is that I can't really make Linux my primary operating system for work because it doesn't have all the apps I need, so I've stuck to my Mac Mini for that. But here's the thing — I also realize that the apps I need put me in a fairly niche minority. If you're thinking of switching to Linux, the truth of the matter is you can probably do that just fine. Most people don't need the apps I do, and Linux is doing surprisingly well. Here's why. Broadly speaking this only happens if your script is portable and will run on many different sorts of systems. If your script is specific to your systems (and your systems are uniform), this is pointless; you know where Bash is and your systems aren't going to change it, not if they're sane. The same is true if you're targeting a specific Linux distribution, such as 'this is intrinsically an Ubuntu script'. ䷩ 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 1351 ╒═══════════════════ 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 ═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ (ℹ) Images, hyperlinks and comments at https://tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/03/Today_in_Techrights.shtml Gemini version at gemini://gemini.tuxmachines.org/n/2025/08/03/Today_in_Techrights.gmi ⠀⌧ █▇▆▅▄▃▂▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ Today in Techrights⠀▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▂▃▄▅▆▇█ ⌧ posted by Roy Schestowitz on Aug 03, 2025 🄸🄼🄰🄶🄴_🄳🄴🅂🄲🅁🄸🄿🅃🄸🄾🄽_⦇Cronjob⦈_ ⚓ Updated This Past Day⠀⇛ 1. ⚓ Microsoft_Windows_"Market_Share"_Measured_Around_2.7%_in_Iraq,_Plunges to_6.5%_in_Saudi_Arabia⠀⇛ Microsoft isn't on the agenda in Iraq 2. ⚓ Video:_The_Rise_of_GNU/Linux_and_Free_Software_as_Seen_by_RMS_in_2004⠀⇛ DTP's founder argued that when Windows goes below 85% "market share", it'll lose its grip in the monopoly sense 3. ⚓ When_(Almost)_One-Man_Operations_Are_Disguised_as_Medium-Sized Companies⠀⇛ the CEO hides in the US (hiding from his ex-wives, 4 daughters from those wives, and Sirius staff that he defrauded) 4. ⚓ Microsoft_Actually_in_Trouble,_Microsofters_Unable_to_Obey_Judges' Orders⠀⇛ For the second time in a week, Microsofters are unable to obey orders ⚓ New⠀⇛ 5. ⚓ Google_Throwing_Out_the_Search_Engine_With_the_Bathwater_is_a_Complete and_Utter_'Shi⠀⇛ ⚓ New⠀⇛ -ow' as the Company Drowns in Debt, Layoffs, and Worse The mainstream media almost never mentions GAFAM debt 6. ⚓ Next_Month_'New_Techrights'_Turns_Two⠀⇛ Next month, on the fourth week, it'll be 2 years since the migration 7. ⚓ Operating_Systems'_Statistics_in_New_Zealand:_GNU/Linux_Up,_Windows Down_to_All-Time_Lows⠀⇛ Remember all this when the media says that Microsoft became like 10 times more valuable in those 15 years (from 400 billion to 4,000 billion in alleged "worth") 8. ⚓ GNU/Linux_Share_in_Sweden_Has_Doubled_Since_PewDiePie,_A_Swede, Recommended_It⠀⇛ months ago he moved to GNU/Linux, then told others to consider doing the same 9. ⚓ GNU/Linux_Hits_Record_High_in_Portugal⠀⇛ GNU/Linux picking up in Portugal 10. ⚓ Gemini_Protocol_is_Not_Dying,_It's_Growing⠀⇛ When people say things like "Gemini Protocol is dying" the data does not support them 11. ⚓ GNU/Linux_is_Thriving_This_Summer⠀⇛ It is meanwhile acknowledged, even by Microsoft pushers, that many GNU/Linux PCs will get sabotaged next month 12. ⚓ The_End_of_Microsoft's_Reign_in_Spain:_Windows_Falls_to_All-Time_Lows in_Spanish_Web_Traffic⠀⇛ Windows sank to new lows in Spain 13. ⚓ The_Bots_Never_Sleep:_In_The_Weekends,_Slopfarms_Dominate_Google_News, Majority_of_Entries_in_Google_Are_Fake_Articles_About_'Linux'⠀⇛ Google is fast becoming an ocean of plagiarism;
