This latest version pivots from its original Haskell coding into the more performance-efficient Rust language, resulting in a leaner and faster Aura with a binary size reduced by fourfold. Haven’t you heard about Aura? In short, it is a powerful package manager that simplifies the installation and management of packages on Arch Linux. The main selling point? It is known for its seamless handling of both official Arch packages and user-contributed AUR (Arch User Repository) ones. Let’s see now what the new version has in store for us. While Gartner says more_than_80%_of_enterprises_will_have_deployed generative_AI-enabled_applications_by_2026, the challenge of customizing these models for domain-specific tasks remains significant. InstructLab, an open-source project developed by I.C.B.M. and Red Hat, aims to address this gap by democratizing LLM tuning. Let’s take a look at how InstructLab enables developers (and domain experts) to enhance and specialize language models efficiently, even on consumer-grade hardware, potentially accelerating the adoption of tailored AI solutions across industries. Ubuntu — This is non-default package is “a collection of extensions providing additional and optional functionality to GNOME Shell” that are developed and maintained by GNOME developers. Ubuntu, like other Linux distributions that use GNOME Shell, doesn’t seed this pack of desktop bolt-ons in its default install, but do package it and keep it in their repositories. On Ubuntu you run sudo apt install gnome-shell-extensions to get it. Most of these ‘official’ extensions are available to install from the GNOME Extensions website. You may be familiar with a few, like the User Themes extension to change GNOME Shell theme, or the Apps Menu extensions that puts a GNOME 2 style app menu in the top bar. The beginning of the image detection/processing loop involves grabbing the next image from the board’s camera and sending it to a classification model where it receives one of three labels: none, unknown, or Joao, the driver. Once the driver has been detected for 10 consecutive seconds, the Nicla Vision activates a relay in order to complete the car’s 12V battery circuit, at which point the vehicle can be started normally with the ignition. * ⚓ [Old] Hackaday ☛ Ferrofluid_VU-Meter⠀⇛ This ferrofluid VU-Meter is inspired by many similar projects that you will find online. For example, the purpose might be "add incremental backup" and the method of accomplishing that goal might be "summarize the WAL to determine which blocks have been modified, and then use that information to decide what should be included in the incremental backup." Or, the purpose might be "simplify the code" and the means of accomplishing that purpose might be "remove some code for dead architectures that we no longer support." But when the problem is cybersecurity, they’re more likely to be seen as prudent. That’s the number of products the average enterprise has assembled to protect its infrastructure, applications and data, according to Palo Alto Networks Inc.
