Coming about a month after GStreamer 1.28.6, the GStreamer 1.28.7 release is here to add support for building against OpenCV 5, add a missing API version suffix in the HIP support library filename, restore gap event sending in the MPEG-PS demuxer, and limit the number of remote sources being tracked in the rtprecv element.

OpenVPN 2.7.7 is here to reduce the number of future keys from 16 to 4 when using EPOCH data channel format, leading to less log spam in userland and fewer resources used in in-kernel implementations. According to the devs, the previous calculation was wrong, and 4 spare keys are sufficient for 100+ Gbit/s links.

Wireshark 4.6.8 Improves Protocol and Capture File Support, Fixes More Bugs

Coming a month after Wireshark 4.6.7, the Wireshark 4.6.8 release updates support for the ANSI_TCAP, ASN.1 BER, ASTERIX, BT ATT, BT AVRCP, BT BR/EDR RF, BT HFP, C12.22, CIGI, CMS, COSEM, EBHSCR, ESS, FP, GSM SIM, GTPv2, H.245, Kerberos, KNX/IP, LBMSRS, NAS-5GS, RELOAD, Rlogin, RRC, SSH, X.509AF, and X.509IF protocols.

Wireshark 4.6.8 also updates support for the 3gpp phone log, BLF, Busmaster, Catapult DCT2000, Daintree SNA, Endace ERF, Gammu DCT3, pcapng, RTPDump, Sniffer, Tektronix K12xx, and TTTech Computertechnik TTL capture files. As expected, there is no new or updated file format support in this release.
