Years Ago Tux Machines Quit Social Control Media. Now Entire Nations - Liberal States Too - Recognise It as a Threat and Accordingly Ban Social Control Media (First for Children/Adolescents)
Germany is the latest EU member state "moving closer to age limits for social media" ("Tyskland närmar sig åldersgränser för sociala medier") and we could not be happier. They prioritise the future of the kids, and that future won't depend on superficial "likes" and exposure to slop, hate, obscenity or worse. Censorship too is very rampant; those platforms exist to serve their masters, they're not communication tools. They're weapons.
We also feel very happy that spring will start very soon. Today we spent several hours tidying up the house and cleaning moisture-related stains from winter (wetness causes moss) and we then played some games, studied some stuff, took photos, and revisited books.
Simple is typically better. Less mental clutter.
We hope that rather than waste time in Social Control Media more people will explore working for a charity, visiting nature, feeding wildlife (we still do that), and sit down to eat dinner with the family. Today we cooked some nice dishes and had dinner without any "Smartphone" or "Gadget" in sight; it's a family thing.
Social Control Media made society so much worse off and many people are far too addicted to realise it, chasing the next "fix" instead of pausing and questioning the real reward - or lack therefore - from participating. █
