Things to be Thankful for in 2025 (Tux Machines Edition)

Here are 10 things we are thankful for this year:

• The birds all roost in the front of the house, plus the Christmas Day Bird is now a daily (nightly rather) visitor; we look after over 100 birds
• We found a routine for better relaxation and offline time (better than just Coffee Day)
• The site is more active, more often, throughout the day (apparently blogs became measurably more active in 2025 (compared to the prior year, unlike social control media)
• No more lawsuits
• No more IRC trolls
• No more Sirius; 10 days ago: Sirius Open Source is Now Imminently Dead (Struck Off)

On a more personal note:

• My in-laws reached and properly celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary
• We published nearly 6,500 pages in Techrights and, having published page #29186 in January, we're now at #39895, which means we published over 10,700 pages this year in Tux Machines. That's a total of over 17,000 pages in a year.
• I sleep a lot longer (a new year's resolution from last year)
• I eat better and shed off some spare (unwanted) weight

We are having a happy and calm evening today. We chose to celebrate indoors and carry on at full throttle tomorrow.
