TuxMachines.org Turns 21.5 in Two Weeks' Time
TuxMachines.org is a baby born in Tennessee but resident of Manchester (England). TuxMachines.org is a big and growing hub for GNU/Linux and sometimes BSD news. TuxMachines.org saw the platform risen from underdog status to a "tech superpower" that powers most mobile phones, most servers, and so much more.
TuxMachines.org is no longer just a Web site. It is also a Gemini capsule and one that matters more over time. Gemini Protocol is already popular among geeks and TuxMachines.org is a site that targets geeks. So it is a perfect fit for us.
Since Rianne is the main editor of TuxMachines.org (preceded by Susan, an American lady) there's also an element of animal rights activism. The logo of the site has long been birds (since Susan's days) and it'll never change.
As we said last week, TuxMachines.org is very much hated by Microsofters and we see that as a badge of honour (sort of). When Susan ran the site it had a category called "M$" (with a dollar sign). We were never 'soft' on Microsoft. █
