(Updated) Olimex Launches POEv3 Add-On for ESP32-P4 Development Board

Espressif Systems announced the ESP32-P4 over a year ago. While the chip is not yet available for retail, a prototype development board featuring the chip was recently showcased by Olimex. This board includes multiple interfaces, such as an Ethernet connector and a camera connector, demonstrating its versatile capabilities.

Linux Mint Devs Plan Revamped Application Launcher for the Cinnamon Desktop

First of all, Clement Lefebvre reminded users that the Linux Mint 22.x will not have an EDGE release because the upcoming Linux Mint 22.2 will be shipping with the HWE (Hardware Enablement) kernel from the upstream Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS (Noble Numbat) operating system, namely Linux kernel 6.11.

Kaisen Linux also integrates a good number of WiFi/video/sound and Bluetooth drivers in addition to those contained in the kernel to provide improved hardware support and ensuring that you do not have to install anything more after installation. You can start the live distribution, as well as install it on your computer. ISO manages the BIOS / UEFI in 64bits. The live, contains a “toram” mode allowing to load the whole live system in the RAM memory of the machine, allowing you to save a USB port (useful for example for computers having only two USB ports and which you need of these two ports)! You will understand, this distribution is designed to meet the maximum of possible needs.
