So Nvidia generated as much buzz as they could in January 2025 with their new line-up: the RTX 5000 series. It was all about DLSS4, more CUDA cores, a breeze of AI, and frame generation to boost everything running your games, with the RTX 5090 as the flagship GPU to win you all over. All good and well, but the launch did not really go as expected: - Ooops! Some GPUs are missing up to 8 ROPs (thanks to TechPowerUp) leading to several percents of performance loss in games.

GamingOnLinux ☛ Dune: Awakening looks like it may be playable on Steam Deck - benchmark tested
Dune: Awakening is releasing May 20th from Funcom, and surprisingly it looks like it may actually be playable on the Steam Deck. That is, unless Funcom decide to put in some anti-cheat that blocks Linux. There's currently no anti-cheat mentioned on the Steam page. I did email Funcom about any anti-cheat, and they haven't yet replied.

The community-made open-source PlayStation remote play client chiaki-ng has version 1.9.6 out now, bringing with it more improvements to make streaming PlayStation games to other devices even easier. Great for when you loved ones are hogging the TV so you can stream the games to a Linux desktop, Steam Deck and various other devices.
